Tint and CA question

I know that this has been discussed before, and I have searched. Unfortunately, the search yields too many results to make sense of it all...

From what I understand, metallic tints will interfere with the effectiveness of Comfort Access. But if you were to get a ceramic tint, it will not effect CA. Is that correct?

My E92 is coming in (with CA) and I do want to get a tint. I just want to make sure I do it right the first time around...

TIA

That's what they say. Might as well go for ceramic even if it does cost a little more. Heat reduction & lack of interference with CA (perception or not) will be worth it.

Correct. Although the rear window is the only one where the tint may make a difference.

Here are some posts that may help clarify (particularly the first one). And quotes from E90Fleet, who has never steered us wrong:

"The reciever uses some of the lines in the rear window as a antenna"
and
"It a good lession for anyone getting comfort access, make shure you DONT GET METALLIC TINT"
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...3451#post33451

"Metal containing tints placed on the rear windscreen often interfere with CA.
We have had a number of people on the forum have the problem, but have had it solved by having the rear windscreen tint replaced with a non metal containing one."
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...623#post498623

"What he is saying is that it is known that having a metallic tint on the rear window interferes with CA causing it to work intermittently . Changing to a non-metallic tint on the rear window fixes the problem"
