Think I have my wheels picked out.

http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...productId=2557

Style 313 BMW wheels, in 19" size. 8x 19 and 9 x 19. Does anyone have real world pics of these wheels on a 3 series sedan? One thing I noticed is they call for 18" on the 1 series and 19" on the 3 series. Would the 18" 1 series fit my 335i?

yea for those willing to drop the money, its generally accepted that those are the nicest OEM rims you can buy for the 3er

18"s should def clear the 335i...many 17" rims clear 335 brakes.

I agree those are the nicest OEM wheels out there.
If you have the money go for them.

They look nice on the sedan but I like the 313 Performance wheels the best (especially on the E92).

Tischer has the e90 fitment for 18 inch 313s. I got those and couldn't be happier.

So there's no reason why bmw picks out 19's for the 3 series and 18's for the 1 series? I'd prefer maybe the 18's. I have to look at the widths again.

They have 18s and 19s for the 3. The standard wheels for the 335is are the 18s.

How would you fit the 18's on a 335xi?

The front are 8" wide, the rear are 8.5"

can one still mount 225 wide tires on both?

There are many options.
A. Go with staggered setup. 18x8 and 18.8.5 with 225/40s and 255/35s. Or even wider 235/40s and 265/35s
B. Go with square setup 18x8s all around with 225-235s
C. Go square setup 18x8.5s all around with 235-255s

I went with 18x8.5 square with 245/40s

This post should probably be moved to the Wheel and Tire forum.

My next question...what is the benefit of wider tires in the summer on AWD?

we dont' need the traction, i understand the stance is more aggressive.

BUT...don't you loose steering precision with wide tires at the front?

If so, I'll go with square 18X8 225 !!! Because the 313 rims are not that pricey.

You get what you pay for...I would've got 'em if I knew more about wheels. The 313's are my next mod, I am just waiting until I need another set of tires right around when I relocate, I don't want to drive on new rims a few 1000 miles. My CSL's look nice but not really happy with the quality. Do it! The staggered set up looks soo much better to me, as well as 19's V.S. 18's. Also I recommend a coilover drop. Too much wheel gap looks crazy!Q

not a fan.....they clearly don't fit the body lines or the overall design of the car whatsoever. Quite frankly, they look goofy

Love the look of that wheel on the 335i sedan. I'm doing it... just gotta pick the size and tire.
