So I have one thing and one thing only that drives me nuts with this game. Its the knife factor. Twice today I got screwed by knife kills.

kill 1: The countdown clock was running for the match to end. Around a corner comes this guy who I see nearly last second and take off. Well he knifes me. The replay shows cuz I was the final kill. I was easily 2 feet away from the person and the knife never came close to contact. It was BS but oh well its only a game.

kill 2: A few matches later I'm sneaking up on this guy who runs into a room and turns around to plant a morter. I'm basically on his back before he turns around. knife once at his back and we're touching, no kill. knife again as he turns around and still touching, no kill. he then turns around and we're face to face I knife again, no kill. He plants his morter and I blow up. WTF!!!!!!!!!

Complete BS. otherwise I like the game. just some stupid proximity faults basically.

Sometimes it feels as though commando from mw2 is defaulted in this game. Other times I can't stab him less than half a foot away...it bugs me to. Oh well

Knives are crazy in that game. Believe it or not, I enjoy BC2 with my .6 K/D better than playing BO where I'm over 1. Between the knives and the prone-hopping at close range while scoped in and shooting (or knifing), it just pisses me off. Plus, it's my opinion that the maps are just too damn small in general.

I still like it more than MW2 (see my post is other thread) but I'm totally in agreement with you. There's nothing more frustrating than a cheeball knife kill / non kill.

Edit : I'm also liking the maps less and less. Too many hiding spot nooks and crannies in some areas. Moving around a lot was already risky, now it's just suicidal. Promotes camping.

I agree. the knife is tarded over powered. I get screwed by it as well. There is no way that I should be killed by knife when I am already putting rounds into the guy. I think it comes down to lag though. If you are watching the kill cam you may see that they knifed you before you even started shooting. I see this a lot. Lag is bad, ummmmkayyy

Im slow knifing in general, I use the Tactical controller setup. For the PS3, my R3 button is change stance, not knifing. I have to hit circle to knife someone, which slows me down because i cant change direction and knife at the same time. You can always tell those people who run Default and who runs Tactical controller setups by how quickly they can knife you as you run by them.

There is a major issue with Treyarch's servers I think. Last night I noticed that games would not start. It would go to Migration then fail go back to the lobby then the lobby would close right away. This went on for hours, I guess since I tried periodiclly to get into matches and could not. The matches that would start were plagued by insane lag. So far this game is getting worse, not better. Also, the loser fuck face hackers are all around. Guys with 15th prestige and 10hrs of play? BS no way in hell it is possible. Then I can tell that some are using some lag switch hack to cause your character basically stop in front of them so they can shoot you with no issues. This is common I guess. A lot of people talking about it on the forums. I know there are a bunch of pissed off PS3 player petitioning for refunds from Treyarch.

These companies make millions of dollars off us, and we expect the product to fucking work. IF it does not or they wont fix it, then money should be returned. Just like if you bought a part for your car that did not work or fit right. It is not bitching, it is customer feedback. Feedback that tends to go unoticed by virtually every game developer these days. They need to get their shit together and stop raping their customers and running.

i'll contribute to the Black Ops rant...

1) Matchmaking and just connection issues in general with this game are ridiculous. When I finally do make it into a match, the lag makes it virtually unplayable.
2) Maps aren't that great. I mean Nuketown has got to be the worst map ever. It's soo small it brings new meaning to the word spawn-kill.

If i had a PS3 I wouldn't even be playing this game anymore...I'd be all over GT5.

I don't mind nuketown. kinda fun actually well other then the lazy ass cherry pickin douches that sit buy the spawn spots and mow you down. But I've only encountered a few douches doing that and they usually suck. kill them a few times and they usually stop. I like how you rack up a ton of kills yet die a good amount too. When the maps are too big you start losing where people are.

I do want GT5 though. Almost pulled the trigger at bestbuy earlier today. I'm still having just enough fun murdering people though.

Nuketown is a lot of fun for Demolition matches. I got the most kills ever on that match playing Demo. And the map isnt the smallest in the COD series, I guess everyone forgot Shipment in COD4. Nuketown is twice the size of Shipment.

Totally agree. So many times on Nuketown I would use my SPAZ and get nothing but hitmarkers. I mean, shooting them so close that I could have stabbed them with the muzzle of the gun, instead just get a hitmarker. I think I gave up on that and just use my AK-74.

^Exactly the same. It makes no sense really. In the past games, they've always been very strong close up, like they should be, but they are more than worthless in black ops.

Lol the fuck did you expect? It's Activision. Didn't you guys learn the first time with MW2? I could've told you before Black Ops was even announced that it was going to suck.

Activision just takes your money and then leaves, they don't give a fuck. It's all the tools that bought Black Ops/MW2 that say to Activision that their behavior is okay. You guys only have yourselves to blame. Also before you know it they'll announce another CoD rehash or map pack that costs $15 and you'll eat that up too. Probably with the next CoD game there will be a subscription fee and I'm sure loads of stupid phaggots will jump on that too.

I've never used the submachineguns so I'll give them a shot. Oh and I am the suck right now as I'm just beginning and haven't played any form of CoD since late February

I find that tons of people use the submachine guns as they have less recoil during full fire. A lot less actually. I just started using a SM and my kill totals have increased just cuz i win more of the close combat bullet spraying due to not using an assault rifle.
