quad exhaust/changes needed for 335
Hi,
As I really seem to need quad exhausts on my cars for some reason.... I went to the local exhaust "doctor" to get him to operate on my car. This proved to be no easy task. The available space surrounding the exhaust ends is very limited, and we needed to modify all the fixings for the rear silencers ++ And on the left hand side there was a (pardon my english) thing that shuts the left exhaust off and redirects it to the right side exit. The thing is operated by a vacuum hose of some sort... Anyway the "thing" had to go to fit the new tips, and the hose was plugged. Anyone know if it is a bad thing to plug hoses and remove "things" on the 335 ?? (ps. the rebadging of the car has proved a huge irritation for many a Audi, Merc and Subaru driver...) |

The quads look much nicer than the stock 335i/d pipes, which are too big, IMHO.
Lol 316i

316i
But if people have some knowledge but the e91, they will know that the smallest engine in the e90 is 318i

Norway has the 316i, but only for the e90 not the e91.

Hey, the 316i badge made me laugh out loud too. Does it confuse the BMW techs when you take it in for a service :-)
My 335d badge is not quite straight, and I had been thinking of de-badging, but now you made me think that I could replace it with 320d... The only problem is the twin exhaust pipes would give the game away - worse with yours now you've got quads, though I guess that's part of the reason it's so funny.

Yeah, the 316 engine hasn't got enough power to move the extra 50kg

As long as the vacuum hose was plugged it wont give you any issues. Its just there to close off one exhaust while the engine is cold to make it quieter. It opens up once you pass a certain RPM
