destination vs. address entry

The owner's manual illustrates how to enter an address via "new destination." I find that using verbal entries I usually get cut off quickly with the irritating response "voice entry ended". Not by my choice!

Anyway, I seem to have much better success entering the address via "enter address". Now I only use Destination when I'm looking for POIs.

Have others experienced the same thing? Except for POI info, is there anything else useful about Destination?

How clearly are you speaking to the car and how does the car react to other verbal commands from you?

Standard voice commands work well, ~ 80-90%, but for obvious reasons the address info doesn't work so well.

My question is really what good is the "new destination" for (except for trying to find a POI).
