JB4 and CMGS Install needs a resistor...

Ok, the first batch of G4 boards are out and I am curious to know if the JB3 required a resistor in the line between pin 15 and cmgs.

Terry said that we need to add a resisitor and I am curious..

20 ohm or 20 amps..... I think...how many watts?? Don't have my notes in front of me so sorry for the not knowing the termage but adding resistors outside the board is new to me.

Also, a DIY for adding the reistor would be nice if anyone happens to have done this already. I asked T for help but he seems kinda busy lately.

Then...radio shack for the resistor?? or is this something we need to do online like the 18 ohm upgrade?

It was part of the alpha directions for the first batch. Add a 20k resistor inline between the CMGS/VC2 and pin 15 on the JB4 as they forgot to add it to the board on that batch.

Just email me or T to help as this is an alpha test board..

I am assisting with an install on one of the alpha testers....

Beleive me.... I am not happy about putting it in someone elses car. I have been needing this tune upgrade for 4-5 months now. I got tired of waiting actually and swapped out my entire meth system to work with jb3 incase I don't get one soon for myself. I will be selling my labonte controller ( works great) and picking up a cmgs/flow sensor. I will have to water down my meth mix some, I hope with the cm10 nozzle that 70/30 will be rich enough. Right now my car likes 85/15 and 90/10 on race day.

On the flow sensor the Labonte is also compatible, as well as snow, etc. Any sensor that outputs a 0-5v signal based on flow.

yeah... I saw the meth log on n54 : ) very exciting. Any idea if boost/timing will be crunched and sent to the controller so that meth adjustments can be made based on what jb4 is reading based on the amout of fluid flowing through the flow sensor. It seems like we have all the data we need and it would all be connected. I decided to change over to cmgs so that I could monitor boost and flow on one gauge. The thought of 2 or 3 guages on the dash was kind of frightening. This is my DD.
