BMW 335i jb3 manual

How do you guys drive around? I'm running all stock with jb3 map3 and traction control goes on pretty easy. I don't even want to turn off the traction. What you guys do buy and install LSD?

????

Im sure noone has posted yet cause they don't understand what the hell your saying. Is what you mean to say that traction is lost pretty easily for you while driving with DTC on, And you say you don't want to completely disable traction control and DTC? LSD Is a whole lot better than the Open Diff in this car, but i don't think i understand what it is your exactly asking. Traction will be better with the LSD but alot has to do with the RUNFLATS change those first.

I think you will have the traction control light coming on regardless of the tires unless you go with full DRs. Even then...I will have DTC intervention. The RFTs grip decently, as many have shown at the drag strip. They are pretty expensive to replace though. I actually enjoy driving around with them, aside from the fact that they are heavy. I think the weight helps to smooth out the ride though.

You think their smooth? I thought they weren't that smooth. I think they take bumps too hard. I had my rft for about 7k and the front are starting to get bumps on the side walls. I think it's because it's takes the potholes too hard.

The runflats are more rough of a ride IMO. I got new wheels and non-rfts and they are butter smooth. I wont be looking at anything other than non-rft Michelin pilot sport ps2's. I switch from the stock bridgestone rft. They sucked for traction IMO. The new wheels and tires are an inch wider in the front and back though, so Im sure that helps some.

I have this same issue with the JB+ @100% W/ solenoid bypass. I was breaking loose doing a 3rd gear pull. I was really wondering how you JB3 guys manage. I am on RFT's as well.

I drove around on map 5 when I was stock. And I still drive on map 5 with full bolt ons. And with traction off . Defiantly stay with map 3 until you get a few more mods though, I wish I would have done that even though I did not encounter any problems.

+1, I agree. I think people should be a little more conservative on their map choice. I personally am fully bolted and I still run only run map 1(13.5psi) with the Procede. But I like to be more safe until I run meth. I wounldnt run over map3 (12 psi) if you dont have exhaust and or downpipes. I would def. recommend a better fmic if you want to run map 5(14-15psi).

Im definitely stayin on map 3 forever. I read around and that was the recommend map to run on stock set up, it's 93 gas too so I think it should be ok for now. I don't really plan on any more upgrades, it has more than enough power for dd. Just want better traction, I guess I'll just wait once spring comes I'll put on t1r.

Wider none-rft will help. The TC will still kick in, but not as much. Ever since I got rid of the rft's and replaced with regular 275's the traction is much improved.

You do realize with the Procede autotuning will increase or decrease your boost. I ran Map 1 with only procede, 93 octane and it autotuned me to almost 15psi.

Not the same as the JB3 Maps which don't have autotuning.

Yup Im well aware of what the procede can do with autotuning. Does your boost spike up to 15psi or does it hold 15psi all the way through the gear? How long have you been running the procede? Lastly how cold is it where you live now? THose are a couple of determinant factors of the boost you can currently.
