Saved $$ by bying tires in the US

I just picked up a set of 225/45 17 Nokian Rs at Kendzia Tire (aka Rainbow Tire) in Niagara Falls USA for US$885.40. The best price I got here for the exact same set was CAN$1382.40. Even with the conversion I still saved over $450.00. I called them on Wednesday, spoke to a guy named Frank. He told me to come in at Noon on Friday, I did, and by 1:30pm I was on the way back to Canada. It did take a bit longer then I thought it would but that's OK. I disposed of my old tires so I don't know what the tax and duty would be, but it was deffinetely worth the drive.

Another good source is Bailey Tire.
They deal with CDN's all day long and they are great to deal with.
