Help me save my M5 bumper!
So my DTM M5 bumper has been taking a beating over the years due to daily driving. I was wondering if I could have a company take a mold of the bumper and re-make it in plastic. Has anyone heard of this being done before? I love my M5 bumper but its fiberglass and a pain in the ass to upkeep.
Here is a picture of what the bumper looks like. You can see some of the damage its taken over the years. I've already repainted and repaired it twice and i'm not sure I want to keep doing that. Any input on this subject would be appreciated.

I would strip it, bondo the scratches, prime, spray, and add some universal splitters to protect the sides....don't let the splitters protrude too much.
Worst case, you replace the splitters ever once in a while. Also I can't tell if your car is lowered or not but if you have coilovers, maybe you could a very slight, front rake (raise the front a bit, leave the rear alone/let it sit a tand bit lower). The back is a bit lower than the front wheel well, so rake doesn't look too bad, IMHO. I can't really notice with my xi, although I would like to drop her a bit. |

Anyone else got some ideas for me? I really want to know if I can get it molded and made in OEM material.
