Hook up w/ Terry to purchase JB3 when he does international order...no need to go through middle party in HK to steal yr $$! Nonetheless, I recommend you to hold the fire for 2 x weeks...as Terry is now doing beta testing for G4 board which came with more features by using CAN tool tuning technique..I should be getting my G4 board next week to upgrade my current G3 board which I'm honored to be his selective Beta Tester in HK, for Europe version E9X N54's data logging!! Here is the detail of G4 and whilst, N54 Forum is a platform for our JB die hard fans......I forgot this is the X times for upgrading my JB piggyback since purchased for 18 months time......

Thanks very much for the info. So is it coming out in 2 weeks time? or is it just the beta version? I dont quite get the difference between jb3 n the g4. Obviously it would b better but wt are the new features? I mean... lk jb3 already adds stm lk 100 bhp to our cars so its gonna add even more?! haha!


For the DCI, when it ships to hk, it wont b tax-ed right? Also, how long would it take roughly? Bcus I actually live in the UK, I will only b in HK until early Jan. I am afraid that I might not get it on time.

Also, On the n54 forum, it says that it can be upgraded if i buy jb3 after 9/15/10 , so... shall i get it jb3 now becus if i wait for it to come out then i will have to buy it in the uk n it will b taxed. what do u think?

So...you came back to HK from UK with Mod Plan even, you are yet to be returning and that's really cool, Mate!! Please read it line by line for the link above connected you to N54 forum in related to New G4 write up by Terry or we'll call it JB4 (i/o JB3)'s difference w/ current JB3 (G3)!! The JB4 is just revolutionary change.....not just upgrade of software/hardware when all features can be now showing in yr odometer...like changing map; changing map while you are on the run when a moron stepping right besides you but god damn it....you are stuck w/ usual DD (Daily Drive) map setting.....which is the limitation of current G3 board which has to change map when engine's off!! With the G4, you can change map by split second on yr steering wheel even so highway run!! Built in DPFix for future Downpipe Upgrade and also, feature of checking & clearing fault codes which we urged for a long time....with G4 code cleaning can be done w/o needed in spending extra $$ to purchase the Can Tool + software.....one board for all!! Check out this Link which is video to show how the G4 works in our odometer....Trust me, you will be amazed......

Just keep in mind that, current JB3 came with an 24ohm board which limited the Max Output 100HP more than stock gain except freaky like me DIY our board to 18ohm in overcome this Max Gain benchmark but G4 is already self built as 18ohm board which you can imagine the Modability of yr ride, Mate?? With our local best pump gas 100 Ron in HK, you can be using Race maps which other Fellows in the States can't cope with due to their low quality pump gas!!

As of the postage timeliness, Terry usually use US Postal service which can be hitting our receiving address in HK within 5-7 days after sent.....You can check w/ Terry to see if there is any postage discount if you buy both JB3 (upgrade later for Free) and DCI in one shot?? There is no such thing as tax in HK and so as Terry won't be charging us Cali Sales Tax for our overseas purchases....In the meantime, the G4 is only at Beta Version, not sure when mass production can be launching especially G4 boards are yet have enough quantity to entertain only US Users' demands...we are talking about thousands of JB3 users are waiting and now, merely selected 150 Beta Testers Worldwide are having the G4 board and poorly some are just like me whose are still waiting for the board to do testing....Gosh!! Conceivably, officially launch date can be somewhat around X'mas time.....

There are some other members in here contacted OSS which they claimed no stock for overseas sending and as well, they are stuck with local US orders whereby, no time to entertain overseas buyers though!! Hey different choice in related to different tuner's specialties......No doubt, I have lots of respect on Precede even Terry of BMS did chat w/ him some time!! However, Terry is having beta testers worldwide whose giving him advices and logs proven the weather situation which affect our car's performance even for the same car! Then, Terry did write some particular setting only for the weather of HK especially to suit our desire for more boost pulling on the low rev.........As one of the beta tester, I just feel comfortable w/ this kind of tailor made customer service though!!

However, my car is now totally dead. HPFP problem. DAMN! it wasnt this serious few days ago. Its just totally not drivable now. I need to wait for wed for a slot to take my car to BMW.... damn..... HATE HPFP

@335 Freak - Bro, I'm thinking of ordering the BMS Power Box online. Any recommendations on Installer in HK? Or is it so easy I can DIY? I have taken electronics class in high school but that was like over 20 years ago. Hahaha

I hear you loud and clear, Bro!! Actually the DIY is not that tough of a task whereas, we need to get some tools in openning the ECU box though....I can give you the garage name and address which I normally go for my parts installation works....thus, PM me if interested so that, I can give you the details while posting the garage name in public forum may not be too nice sometimes!!

As of JB4, it is now unnecessary for tailor made different maps while the level of self tuning on JB4 is even more room than JB3!! Thus, you just use yr laptop computer to tune by yourself is good enough!!

Sorry to hear yr HPFP issue....fortunately, you still having warranty for yr car in getting BMW HK to fix it for you!! It is great to get it fixed before you enter the road of tuning, my fellow forum member!!
