Safe to assume that after your car is in transit..it takes a month for delivery?

I know how some folks check the location of their ship on a daily basis. I've been thinking about this a little bit...
My car was put on a ship on Jan 18th. (On Jan 20th, the status on the 1-800 number changed to in transit to pvc). The ship is schedule to land in Feb, 10th. And estimating, it takes about a week to get to the pvc and finally to the dealership. I'm hoping to take delivery on Saturday Feb 17th.

If this goes correctly, it will be almost a whole month of wait after the car is in transit.

I just kind of want to make this general rule of thumb for those who don't check the status of their car on a regular basis to have something to aim for.

The wait is really now killing me, lol.

Any supporting facts behind your theory?

Check out the threads that say "Who's on board xxx" and click to the last page to see when they are actually receiving the car.

It was 22 days for me, from status 195 (Shipped from Port of Exit) to delivery at dealership...and this was with some delay factored in (3 days extra) as I had cancelled PCD en route and the car had to be trucked back up from SC to MD.

For all intents and purposes, I agree that 1 month is a broad general rule of thumb for east coast deliveries. There are variations in actualy voyage times and VPC clearing/delays.
