Sat radio question for my 325i

I have a 2006 325i and a 2006 530i, both have Nav and idrive. My question is in the 530 when I am on the entertainment section I see a SAT option after FM/AM/AUX. Consequently I activated the satellite radio and really love it because of the long trips I sometimes do.

The 325 doesn't have SAT as an option. Does this mean the car isn't prewired for sat radio? How much would it cost to add this option? Also why wouldn't it come with it already that seems odd.

Not meaning to thread jack but on a similar note if the car IS pre-wired for SAT radio how difficult and what is required to activate it. Stealer tried to give me some crap about it being $900... I was like WTF thanks but no thanks.

when I got my 530 SAT was already an option on the idrive menu, so i just called and activated it. If you see SAT appear you're good to go no dealer necessary.
