Deal or no Deal
Ok so I decided not to buyout my lease and go for a different car. I'm looking at 2006 M5 48480 miles. They wanted 36k but I got them down to $31500. The car has all the options. The only thing is that it is a buy back. The only major repair I had seen from the BMW maintenace records was the Sun roof had to be adjusted and the E-motor for the hydraulic unit. Other then that the car fax is clean. I'm just wondering is it possible to get a 3rd party warranty being that it's a buy back?

The M5 is an exotic car with all the exotic maintenance bills that go along with it. The E60 M5’s complex high-tech electronic systems and S85B50 engine will be EXTREMELY expensive to maintain out of warranty.
Think about it. The 2006 E60 M5 had a base MSRP of $81,000, and approached $90,000 with a few options, but you can pick one up 4 years later for around $30,000. There’s a good reason for the E60 M5’s exceedingly rapid depreciation…
