It will be voided if they find out that the tune is in your car.

That's why it's recommended that you take out the tune before service and clear all tuner related codes.

So, I install it in my car, take it out for service and there is no possible way the dealer can see there was a tune?

I don't like using the world 'impossible"... but with the absence of stored tuner codes in the DME, it will be difficult to suggest that you had a tune in your car.

So with the Proceed you don't need a BT Scan tool to erase the codes? This is major plus.

Yes, you don't need the BT Scan tool for the PROcede to clear codes.

The PROcede can also read the codes. I'm going to try that out soon since I'm going to service.

Sorry to thread jack, but is it necessary to unplug the battery while uninstalling the PROcede? I've read on this forum that people do, but on PROcede forum it doesn't say to do so. Or, to unplug the green power connector before taking off the connections to the DME?

That's a relief. That was one of the questions I wanted to ask you. Get back to me later today. This is my private account.

The JB4 has built in auto deleting of any detection codes so no worries there. Super easy to install and remove in PnP format, or go with the pin out model to save some coin. (Only 349.00)

Just in limited alpha release. Not for the general public just yet.
