BEWARE of the BROWN BUS LANES:

Just a heads up for those of you that like to drive like D-Bags or those of you who are from out of town or just simply haven't heard. NYC bus lanes that are painted a red/brown color are equipped with cameras and WILL send u a nice ticket if you drive in the lane. I believe the fine is somewhere in the $100-$115 range.

Cabs I'm sure are still allowed to pull over to pick somebody up as well as yourself. It's a surveillance camera, not the type that just flashes and snaps a pic. If they see you abusing the lane you will be sent a ticket in the mail.

Just thought I'd let everybody know because I saw an Audi A3 and a Merc C300 yesterday driving 2 blocks down the new bus lanes in front of the United Nations so they can cut everybody off and jump on the FDR. Hope those 30 seconds they saved was worth the $115 fine they will be getting in the mail
