PLM 3" Downpipes

Hey everyone,

yes i know i should search but i did and now i just want to gather peoples opinions.

I am in the process of purchasing the PLM 3" catless downpipes and have to pay on friday, i just want to know a few things first.

Will i get leaks or issues?

How are the welds?

Anyone ever used PLM? (they look to be relabeled riss racing dps)

How well made are they?

They seem to be just ok, they grind their welds. I would just buy used AR or MS if I were you.

I bought these as well.... what can I say, in the end, pipes are pipes (as long as they are mandrel bent). I just can´t get around spending over $300 for such a short piece of metal

Why do you say that? Have you personally installed them? They are identical to the rr v2 pipes.

Define quality. I got them for 270 shipped. Open box item from plm directly. I could get three set of these for the price of other downpipes.

The look smooth. Inside was nice. Welds looked good. Flanges were spot on. Fit was perfect. So what exactly am I laying 500 dollars more for? Nicer and smoother welds that will give me 2 HP. No thx. I can understand if these didn't fit or generally loomed like ass...but that's just not the case here.

LOL.....why crap? They produce the same power gains as the "big boys". If I put you behind the wheel of a car with the PLM pipes and another car that had "big boy brand" would you be able to tell me which car had which or would the power feel the same..............

wake up! PIPES ARE PIPES only the diameter makes a performance difference........

LOL the ignorance in here

Pipes are pipes but you will see several months or years that you should have bought something that other people have had no issues with.

You pay for what you get... most of the time
