Whats it take to beat a M3
07, 6spd, cpe, JB3, DCI
Whats it take to beat a M3, I have hung with one for a minute on map 5 with a little 100 oct mix but I could tell he was starting to pull and we had to shut down. Ran another and it was a different race, he is stock too but pulled much harder. It was pretty cold and I was on map 5 and only 91 pump so maybe the gas made a big difference, or the first one I raced was slow. I didn't expect to beat him but I thought I would do a little better. I know DP's and a FMIC will make a difference but lil sucker was fast.

DCT will pull harder than a 6MT significantly. DCT M3's trap 114ish and are in the fat part of the powerband much longer than a 6MT due to the shorter gear ratios.
That could explain it.

I have a n55 +LSD + HP autowerks AF and I recently had a problem with a moded (exhaust+program) e36 M3. Hope AR sends those DPs quickly so I can finally get a remap as well... the car feels slow... :/

hehe.... JB3 and DCI should be all you need. Are you a coupe or sedan? Sport or non?
Map 5 and you should nose him out in the 1/4... Up over 100 is where the M3 breaks loose and manages the road a bit better as well. If its a new V8 well then you need my car! JB3 Map 8, meth, dci, Down pipes, speed delimiter.

Sorry should have made that clear, they both were E92, coupes the first was a stick the more recent was a DCT and was holding speed much better. Both races were a few seconds into 4th for me then I shut down.

i have beat a few e92 m3's around my area. i have a jb3 2.0 map 6 with dci and muffler delete. on the auto. i recently raced a e60 m5 with my same mods and 104 octane, 60 roll and pulled about 3 car lengths.

I raced a DCT stock e90 m3. Im AT and I have the OE Tuning Flash, BMS DCI, & Gintani test exhaust (2.5 inch piping [replaces 2ndary cats on with no resonators] & magnaflow mufflers). We were neck and neck and right when I put it into 3rd I was gone.

I just have OE Tuning Flash and DCI and I'm about dead even with an M3. I raced my buddy who has a Gintani flash, Gintani X-pipe, AA exhaust, Macht Schnell Air filter and he pulled maybe a bumper length on me from a dig.
The DCT is definitely the difference, every one of my buddys pulls ahead on shifts.

You can pull on DCT m3's with bolt ons and a tune, but you will need nearly all of the bolt ons. The 6mt e92/e90 m3's can easily be taken with just a tune and intake....and maybe a little race gas.
As everyone has stated, DCT m3's are much faster and there is no room for driver error like there would be in a 6mt m3. A 6mt m3 wont ever shift as fast as a DCT will either.

wow your car is slow dude , I ran m3 6 speed with exhaust and destroyed him, I ran only ctless dp's dci and v4 with default settings and a a passenger in my car , also raced a c63 with same mods and kept up dead even up to 135

A stock E92 M3 DCT runs a 12.7 at 113mph.. JB3 with meth/race gas and DCI should be enough, but it's neck and neck and more of a drivers race... I saw an E92 JB3 with stock wheels + street tires and meth + race gas run a 12.6 at 116mph last weekend..

Why is everyone going insane try to prove facts and everytime someone says " no iam faster then an m3" right behind it youll here " you should get the new mustang"
1. The m3 is nothing near slow in a straight line 2. an n54 with a simple (15psi) tune,100 oct and a DCI WILL BEAT a DCT>MT e9x m3 3. The m3 is a track superstar it will eat any 335i around it and most $100k+ sports cars 4. The the 5.0 will beat the new m3 and 90% of tuned n54's so dont underestimate it. 5. just because its an american car does not mean the car is slow i dont know where people came up with this theory.
