1M Powered by N54 from 335is; Tuning Parts Direct Swap?
Just read this morning about the new 1M which has the same N54 powering the 35is models.
When I swap my 335i for one of these, intake, intercooler, dps and Procede will be a direct swap correct? Any special Procede maps for this car?

Is that for sure confirmed that it is the exact same motor/turbos?

+1 ?? When you still had your 335 didnt you feel the N54 was a superior engine? Why not used it but enhance it right out of the box instead of having to modify it like we are, so in essence bring it to the market as an "M" model and having superior power already

EDIT: as a matter of fact, I smoked an e92 M3 with about $5k in extras(only reason I knew that is bc his friend told me). That M badge did him little good when I passed by him.

simple, they could have made a better engine that was designed for track use, the n54 is not that. a track car aka 'M' should have peak HP at redline. You can build a turbo motor with gobs of low TQ that still doesnt fall on its face at redline. the n54 in the 1M has peak HP at 5,900rpms........thats big block territory as far as rpms go. from 5900 to 7,000 your actually on the decline. as far as I can tell the 1M is a 135 w aftermarket bolt-ons. they could have at least put better snails on it. My opinion.

Straight line, I know you will tell me that I will not hold up at the track, but I beg to differ. The straight line accel. was enough in my favor that the M's conering wouldnt make up that much diff. unless the track was all twistes. Plus, when i get an lsd and suspension it wouldnt even be close. Take a look at the Stage 3 dinan vs m3 vid on youtube. M3 BARELY won and the dinan stage 3 is far less power than my set up.

Its not the same $$, you gotta compare apples to apples. I take the n54 at 30k and dump 15k into it and I will dust the s65 while saving money and its custom...which I like.
