Aero kit or M-sport kit for e92?
Hi my name's dave and i'm new to the forums...!
absolutely love the e92 coupes. i don't drive one, but my dad is getting a 325i. was just wondering if anyone knows whether the m-sport aero kit is available in aus yet? and if so, how much is it and what does it consist of? (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35579) also, there's another aero kit, which is available i believe. anyone know prices? (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45802) what do you guys reckon looks better? i personally think the aero front lip looks nicer as it integrates with the lines adjacent to the kidney grilles, whereas the m sport front bumper doesn't. i've nabbed the posts from elsewhere in this site, and i've included some pics... (1st is aero lip, 2nd is m sport bumper) thanks |

I think it's a no brainer...aero kit looks like a Hartge lip and the M kit looks like an M6. M all the way, no comparison!

how do you figure? far more people have the aero kit than the M Kit? furthermore, the aero rear looks like shit. and the M sides make the entire car. i say M sides and rear.... and the front is personal preference.

from what i've read the aero kit lip is just a stick on the original bumper, whereas the m-sport is a whole new bumper. i think both bumpers don't do their fronts' justice, but if i were to choose, i'd go with the m-sport bumper. but i guess it's up to personal choice...

I wouldn't get either kit, I'd buy the m-kit from e92 kits, i think it looks a lot better than both, and for us Americans, we won't even have the groove for the amber relflector.

I've been tossing up between the two as well. I like the aerokit front, but not rear. The M-kit front is ok too, but the rear is a bit bland and makes the rear shot look boxy. In fact both rear bumpers don't continue the body line that runs from the front bumper, below the doors and into the stock rear bumper. I think that line just "makes" the profile. However, the profile of the aerokit front shows it "scoops" up in the middle--a funny look.
As far as the M sports pack is concerned, I decided I only really wanted the body kit. I love the 189 stock wheels(also easier to clean) and stainless steel window trims, and a lighter interior roof lining. I've ordered a separate M-sport steering wheel with paddles as an accessory anyway. The body kit will probably cost as much as the whole pack when it arrives!! Anyway, it's a mute point now. My dealer called me yesterday and said I had to finalise the order details, and that the M-sports pack is not available yet in Aus. So that made the decision for me. I'll wait till the car arrives, and probably get the aerokit front lip. I was also able to order the USB interface-06FL for $630. |

i like the m sport sides and back and the aero lip for the front sticks out more, looks aggressive, if i had an e92, i'd get that just a thought btw, i love that top pic, diesel takes some hot pics if i had an e92, i wouldn't mind it looking like that one

Aero rear rocks
the aero rear looks like shit??? What if I tell you that I personally love the aero rear, and that I plan to buy only the rear? And for the M rear... seems that you like plastic... life is strange, isn't it? Ciao

Does anyone have a good pic of the M side skirts. Didn't know they even had these. Was thinking about the hamann side skirts, but want to see what these M side skirts are like.
How much and where can I get them in the U.S.? Thanks

sorry can't help u mate, u r aware that ur asking for pricing and availability in the australian forum?
try calling ur local dealer as they are OEM parts and that'll give u a better indication of prices. if we were to tell u the answer, it would be in aussie dollars

if you told me that you personaly love the aero rear and than you plan to buy it i'd say different strokes for different strokes. are you the authority on what looks good and the fact that "you personally love it" is going to make me change my mind?
