Leasers: Did you get the Buy Rate?

I'm about to take PC delivery and I'm going with a lease as I don't rack up many miles and she won't be my daily driver.

The skinny:

Got what I consider to be a good price on an ordered 335 Coupe. Over $2100 under MSRP. I'm a first time BMW buyer/leaser. Own and leased many other cars. My credit scores are in the 800 range.

CA tells me that they are asking for the full .0004 bump on the money factor. My calculations tell me that this will cost me about $30/mo. more. Not acceptable to me. Is insisting on the buy rate unreasonable based on my purchase price? Split the difference (.0002)? I do realize there is also $200 of play in the acq. fee.

I'd love to hear about experiences from other recent leasers. Where did you end up?

Hello,
I don't see any reason why you should have to pay the extra bump. I leased and I got the buy rate. I wouldn't have even continued the conversation if they were giving my the bump. Do PCDs get taken out of the dealers allocation? If not, then I wouldn't accept any kind of bump.

You got $2100 off MSRP on a 335 coupe that they can't build enough of? Sorry to be a skeptic, but I don;t buy a lot of these claimed deals people say they get. It's supply and demand and no way they are going give you 2k off a 335 coupe!

I just ordered my 335i Coupe on Monday. I am doing a lease but first negotiated the price from $48,320 to $45,850, which I could of bought the car at that price. That is almost $2,500 off MSRP and I live in NYC. You just need to find the dealer with the most allocations and willing to work with you.

Residual (60%) and Money Factor (.00175) is set with BMWFS. In the end, I am paying $600 a month with no cap cost reduction for 36 months and 12K miles for a $48K car. And I'm sure there are much better deals out there.

So what, all of us are lying? I got $2115 off sticker by way of email from a dealer I never met. The dealer I wanted to buy from simply matched it and the deal was done. Some have done better than me. Maybe things are a little tighter on the left coast.

Nice deal! Yeah, the residual is set but they are allowed to bump the MF by up to .0004 - from .00175 to .00215. This amounts to approx. $1000 over a 36 month lease. That would be unsweetening my sweet deal!

MSRP on mine was around $45K when the 330 was hot property. Got it for $1200 over including MACO etc.

Got the buy rate. Got the $625. Got floor mats, full tank of gas (when it was $3.00/gal )

I don't live on the left coast though.

Work with your SA. When I placed the deposit, I gave them a check. A credit card would have cost them $30 and I made sure they knew I knew that. In a SA's world, $30 is significant.

Nothing like a dose of condescension to make the deal go down, right doc?

This is a good deal. Well done with every detail covered.

What did they claim for order leadtime?
