I know there's a plethora of info out there comparing tunes and I've been reading and reading but I'm still not sure what I should do.

I have a daily driver that will never see a drag strip or track. I don't plan to really add any more performance mods...I have a Remus Race axle-back exhaust with stock downpipes and aFe DCI. I'm looking for some more performance for the occasional spirited driving on 91 octane fuel.

JB+ seems like an easy/cheap option for a little extra kick, but I feel like once I get it I'll always wonder "what if" LOL

JB3 seems like a popular option which has flexibility. Is it worth it though if I plan on never going past map 3? And what's the downside of going with the much cheaper pin out version? Just a more difficult install?

It seems like Procede is for the more race-oriented tuner. And I'm not comfortable with a Flash (i.e. GIAC) since I can't physically remove it at home.

Any feedback is appreciated!

OP- Keep researching.

In a nutshell, PROcede is the better tune. It is not only for the race-oriented user..it works best for everyone. It is also the safest with Timing Control, and also the best functionality and driveability.

JB3 is a boost controller. It will yeild similar peak power numbers...but safety, functionality and driveability are not nearly as advanced, or as acceptable as the Procede.

JB3 = Cheap. Procede = Proper. If you want to cheap out on something this important, go right ahead. But, many of us who begin with the JB3 inevitably get sick of the inadequacies and upgrade to the Procede anyways.

I was in the same shoes as you just last week for my 2011 N55 E90 Sport. I did my homework and concluded that overall the Procede is the safer tune. The JB3 is more of a boost controller. I just bought a Procede!

Thanks for the info. I know it's annoying answering these over and over. I look back to when I started and I definitely am not proud of some of my questions from the past LOL

It looks like the Procede (enthusiast) is the way to go.

I would recommend JB3 or the upcoming JB4 (free upgrade from JB3). They have proven results, excellent support, their supporters are not fanatic and you can get down-to-earth reviews and driving impressions from their owners. It also has the best price on the market.

PS: I am running GIAC Stage 2 myself, and I would recommend it because it's perfectly stock-like but with alot more power (and a lot less lag ).

Reading reviews of the folks that have tried both should be very helpful in getting a fair comparison. From what I've seen the winner has been extremely one sided.

Initial price is the main advantage of JB3 / JB4. And historically it has not always remained cheaper to own by the time you factor in hardware fixes and hardware upgrades.

Correct. The JB3 produces similar peak power, no matter how unstable boost is/was to reach it. It appears JB4 has a new way to control boost, which is not only good, but a necessity.

I assume you're mostly talking about people with 6AT misfires? If so, the people likely did not attempt to contact Vishnu for support...as a simple specific update could resolve their issue. Remember, this is a completely treatable issue.

You mean it will be actually be controlling things properly now? (besides timing) We won't see any of those horrible boost curves or dynos anymore?

Again, great to hear BMS is catching up... just think the JB3 2.0 does not do things the way it needs to.

Looks like there are def two different camps here!

Since the current procede piggyback seems to be more stable/complete than JB3...and JB4 is quite new still and probably needs time to work out kinks...I think procede is the way to go for me! Thanks for all the input!
