2011 328i (base model) light upgrade
Hello, I got my 2011 328i 4-door 2 months ago and so far I am not impressed that impressed. I need to start doing some modifications to make it more (mine). Its the base model with the only options being 6-speed manual, moon roof, and heated seats. It was an on the lot deal that I couldn't pass up so I couldn't order it with what I really wanted.
I would like to upgrade the headlights to HID and even though it won't be the true HID effect the factory system has I've done this with most of my cars and I'm not worried about doing it on this. What I do need help with is the following. I would like to make the AE HID or LED. I can not find anyone that sells the correct bulb for it though. There is a cage style bracket that goes around the assembly to hold it in place. I purchased LED replacement and they do not match up. I was told by the company I purchased it from that the 2011 seems to be a different light than the previous years. Has anyone else encountered this yet? I would also like to know if there is a way I can have the AE's only come on in place of the DRL's. I found how to disable the DRL's. I have seen other BMW's driving around with only the AE's on in the daytime and it looks great. If you could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!!! |

LUX is the only AE product for LCI Halogen angel eyes. They are LED.
The other BMW's driving around with just angel eyes on have xenons. I don't believe that you can do that with your car. |

Daeos Harness on 328 LCI halogens
Quote:
I'm looking into getting the same combination. Did you have any trouble installing or getting the daeos kit to work with the halogen headlamps? I've been looking for someone who has been able to get this working successfully! Let me know. |
