hmmm interesting....seems a bit expensive just to wrap the trim. $500+ to wrap it? If I'm not mistaken isn't the black trim, not shadowline, only about $650 from tischer? Why not just buy the real trim instead of wrapping it with overpriced vinyl? just sayin....

The products page on that website lists $500+ at the price of getting the replacement BMW parts. If you go to the order page, the kit is $20. It's hard to put on though and is best left to a professional.

Patience is key with the $20 shadow line.

The back of the vinyl is sticky so it's not too difficult to work with. Have a heat gun ready to bend the vinyl around the window trim curves.

I just got the Tischer black window trim about a month ago. It's definitely Matte Black. Paid just over $400 without shipping. It looks great!

bmwshadowline is crap.

If you wrap the trim yourself buy a sheet of vinyl that covers the whole trim....front to back, top to bottom.

This way you can cut out the vinyl in the shape of the trim so you don't have to stretch it around that impossible curve in the back.

I think I used 15ft x 3ft. The total length is around 14ft, front to back, but the extra foot is so you ca cut both sides out of the one sheet.

Please measure before hand if you take my advice. I'm not positive on the measurements. I wrapped my trim about a year ago.

I would be willing to trade you my black finisher rods for your silver ones. As long as the 335 will fit on a 328 and viceversa.

As long as the cars are the same model you guys should be fine.

BMW prices for trim are beyond ridiculous. I'd love to get mine matte'd out but would have to have someone else do it. I already know I don't have the patience for it.

Exactly why isn't anyone painting the trim? Do anyone you think you will want to go back to the chrome? If so vinyl is the way. But it wouldn't cost more than 50 bucks to spray it.

I've heard of people doing it only to have it get chipped off.

Can someone post part numbers for the trims? I bet you can find it cheaper if you shop around.
