BSH OCC Troubleshooting

I just finished installing the BSC OCC and everything seems to have went smoothly. Except upon start up there seems to be a ticking sound by the driver side pvc valve area at idle. When revving the engine the sound disappears until the car goes down to the 600 rpm idle.

Does anyone have any insight about this ticking who has installed the BSH OCC?

Notes: It's definitely not coming from the engine, and it is in the area right behind the airbox.

Thanks

I got that noise even without an OCC on both my 135i and 335i. Goes away after the car's warm. Don't know if that helps or not.

I hate when I change something ( on my car or other) and then "notice" something is different. I wonder if the only reason i noticed it was because I was now looking for anything to be wrong.

Well since you've been through two 35s, you have more area of expertise on engine sounds. So ya that helps, I appreciate it.

The care doesn't toss any codes and there is nothing leaking so I suppose I'm a.okay.

I feel you on that, I try to take a mental snapshot of the car prior to doing any work but obviously when you do a modification you diagnose your car that much more deeply.

Oh well, I'll see if it gets any worse. I suppose if one of the pvc valves weren't connected properly then I'd be getting some kind of emission code?

Is the sound you're hearing sorta like popcorn cooking inside? After installing mine that's the noise I'm hearing while in neutral. The stem holding the OCC isn't stiff and moves around, so I think It's hitting something and that's what's causing the noise.
