Changed HPFP,more power?
last saturday, while I was driving on the high way,and I switch to sports gear on to have some pull.however, the car starts shaking, and the next thing i know I had a engine malfunctioning. So I took it to the dealer with my Dinan stage2 ,I was worried that the Dinan flash will mess up my warranty ,but it didnt!Tthey reprogram the car, change the HPFP and the sensor even with my dinan stage 2 on the car.
Great! And As I was driving today,I feel that the car has more power but it doesnt make any sence to me? So,my question is,Does the new HPFP increase more power than the old one? |

A failing or deteriorating HPFP probably wasnt supplying adequate fuel pressure to your car, reducing the power output. In that sense, a new one could very well restore power that was missing before.

Hmm, that's weird because by reprogramming your car the Dinan flash is gone so how can it be that your car feels more powerful; unless you had the Dinan reflashed?? If that's the case, I agree with the two posts above..

Hpfp
What happened with me is ref lash didn't overwrite dinan tune. New fuel pump significantly increased power (I assume old one was really sub par). Also got $1000 check in mail from BMW for troubles.
