This true?

Got this off a different forum is this true as my error code comes and goes?
Also a friend is selling a HID kit but has older version of CAN-BUS and say it will flash error.

(Beware, the majority of LED's will give faults despite the claims.
These will cause the LCM to fail after prolonged use which costs £££'s to replace.)

well its false because....

the warning light only comes on to indicate that your light bulb is out and needs replacement.

some LED show a warning light because it is NOT drawing (using) the normal wattage or voltage that a normal conventional bulb would use.

so therefore the car thinks... less volts/watts = dead bulb. and sends out the warning signal.

since LEDs use significantly less amount of energy to light up some products to have built in capacitors to prevent from this warning light coming on. to say ones with out the built in cap would cause serious damage that costs you $ or pounds... is false.

So really at the end of the day its down to if you can live with having the error message on all the time. Ask because a friend is selling a set of HIDs but use the old CAN-BUS system and do flash the errors but is selling cheap because he couldn't live with having the error code on his Idrive i don't have the Idrive so the message isn't as annoying.

in the section you posted this thread is another thread that solves this prob. my self and few other have replied to those threads about adding a capacitor to your HID kit.

seek and you shall find. jk

its prob at the end of first page or so since its been about two three days since i last posted. one of them actually has a diagram that drew to explain.
