Why is the e92 xi so high? spring thread

Hi guys, I am going to be ordering foregstar f14 wheels in 18s for my 335xi coupe.. I don't get why the XI is so much higher than the I but it is what it is. I am looking to find some springs to just make it look better... don't want to go crazy and don't need the best of the best... what would you recommend for a decent drop, I don't want it tucked, or roll the fenders, so nothing crazy...Not looking to spend money on coilovers

FWIW: I have the sports package with the 17s... is this a different suspension than the base xi? My car is a 2008

Because I have the sports package, am I good to go with H&R Sport springs for a similar ride, and get rid of the crappy 4x4 look?
