DRL Help
Hey guys, so I just spent the afternoon working on my E90, put in some highperformancebulbs H11 HID Canbus fog lights (which look awesome), I installed the LUX 5.1's (also look kick a$$), and I attempted to replace my H7 DRL's. I managed to get the passenger side in without too many problems but I think I mangled the mount for the drivers side!! Is there an easy was to install these bulbs or am I missing something?? It's basically trying to install them blind!! I fear that I messed up the tabs that hold the bulb in place and I really hope this doesn't mean I'm into an entire new light unit.
Does any one have any experience in something similar or a better way at getting to those bulbs? My next step i fear is pulling the bumper and getting the whole headlight out to work on it a bit easier. Any advice appreciated. Thanks |

Yea it sounds like you'll have to take out the headlight.
I recently replaced my father's passenger side AE on his E65 745i. That was a bitch!! I had to guess how the bulb secured as well. And because the intake is on the passenger side, I had absolutely no room for leverage. I had my arm twisted around the intake so I could get it installed. Not fun. Good luck to you. |
