335is exhaust vs BMW Perf Exhaust

What is the difference if any? Only the muffler is different on the 335is vs 335i right? I found the 335is part on realoem: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...%2018307563228

I'm thinking maybe I should just order the 335is exhaust because the parts are less than $800...

Nice find. But isn't the BMW Performance exhaust more than just the exhaust canisters?

I'd love to hear if the mufflers are interchangeable with the 335i stock units. I've heard great things about the 335is exhaust but have yet to hear it in person.

Do these come with the black exhaust tips?

I would think so, but I am not sure. For $800 its the best exhaust for the money.

I dont think i could justify buying an $800 exhaust when you wont gain anything in hp, and only a very very slight increase in sound

I have the perf exhaust on my e90 and if your thinking the 335i PE is the same as the 335is stock exhaust, your very misinformed. My car is loud as hell compared to any 335is. Sounds more like a 965 with pipes actually.
The 335i performance exhaust came catback with pipes, resonator, cans/w tips, and clamps just fyi.
As everyone says, there isn't a big power gain, being a turbo motor, but there is noticable throttle response improvement. I had a big power gain when I put mine on, but I think it ws moredue to all the other mods I have being strangled waiting to breath better.

the e90 comes with all these pipes because the stock doesnt have a cross pipe. the e92 has a cross pipe stock so the pe only comes as a 3rd section muffler.

Most exhausts that are from catback are hundreds more expensive. And yes this is not for power but sound.

That might be because PE does not have the valve in the left tip therefore it is louder. The 335is does, but you can off course turn it off. The 335is exhaust comes with all the parts you just mentioned...atleast I think so.

The PE sedan exhaust is around 1700 from tischer bmw. Will run you about 200 for install. Coupe PE is around 900 IIRC because it doesnt have the extra piping to remove the resonator. Tischer is probably the cheapest youll find, unless you buy used.

that's not 100% true.

for the E92/93 its just two mufflers, right.
but for the E90/91 its muffler AND midpipes. so it delete the mid-silencer.

the E92/93 dont have a mid-silencer, so no midpipes to delete them.

Current pricing for the e92 PE on Tischer is $1395

, the OP was asking about the 335is and that is only a COUPE so the other option doesn't apply.

But thanks for sharing
