I have an E90 06 325i. I was driving on the freeway the other day and was traveling about 75mph using the cruise control. I noticed that I could not accelerate. When I was changing lanes the turn signals wouldn't work either. The Signals work intermittently and the cruise control just won't let me set it by accelerating nor will it let me accelerate. Then the service engine soon light came on. Any suggestions?

What code/s is/are tripping the SES light?
Cruise control won't work if certain systems are malfunctioning.....though the SES light is usually emissions related. I can't see one of the modules CC uses trip the SES light. but who knows. Never heard about your turn signal issue though. |

The SES light went out a day after. Turn signals, wipers and hi-beams either all work or not at all. No rhyme or reason. Doesn't happen at any particular speed or tilt of the wheel. One thing I noticed is that the BC button, the auto wiper button and the cruise set have all continuously worked. (all are buttons at the end of each stalk). The cruise stalk won't accelerate but it will let me set it by pulling back. I did some research and I think the part that has the problem is called the "steering column switch cluster".
