New Carbon Fiber Trim

My friend just had his trim wrapped with carbon fiber by CarbonUnderground. I have never seen a vinyl this nice, looks better than the dry dinoc. Much better than that fabric crap. He said this guy is the best in town. They also do carbon fiber hoods, trunks, roofs, and also the matte black and gloss black. Anyways defintaley worth checking out CarbonUnderground.net.

Wow that is really nice......what kind of vinyl is it? Does Carbon Underground make it themselves?

I was thinking about clear coating the Di-NOC for my trim.....not 100% on that or the CF look either.

Considering matte white as well.

From their site:

*** CONSUMER WARNING***

Be cautious when buying 3M™’s DI-NOC™ from buyers where it may seem like you are getting too good of a deal. There has been a rampant problem of knock-off DI-NOC™ material that will be nowhere near as good as genuine 3M™ material. Carbon Underground uses only genuine material, directly from 3M™ so you can be confident in doing business with us.

3M™’s DI-NOC Carbon Fiber won the best new automotive exterior accessory at SEMA 2009!

So one would assume they ARE using 3M Di-Noc - although they do list a glossy version in addition to the normally seen Dry version

More pics

Here are some more pics of my friends car. Check out the first one, it compares the dry DiNOC to the new stuff CarbonUnderground.net is using. He is getting installed tomorrow, I will get more pics. I am having them do my roof with this same stuff. More pics to follow.

The dry DiNoc looks like it has a little more depth. +1 for macro shots.

My friend paid $200 for his e46, I know the e90 is more, I think $300. I just had them do my roof they charged me $280 for that and it looks awesome. I went with the matte dinoc. Below is a pic I took.

Macro Pics

Mike from CarbonUnderground.net gave me some macro pictures of the 3M glossy carbon fiber material he uses. This is from a 2011 335 trim he just completed.

He said he would offer the forum special group buy pricing ($50 discount each) if we can get five of us to send their trim. So if anyone is interested PM me and I will coordinate it with CarbonUnderground.
