Anyone have their xenon bulbs flash purple then "warm up" to their intended kelvin

When you first turn them on? Weird phenomenon here. I have Philips 6700 xenons and they do this. It pops on with a purple hue, then transitions to 6700k within about 5 seconds. Should I be worried? Is this normal for some D1S aftermarket xenon bulbs? My OEM ones never did that

Thanks!

That is normal, HID bulbs are a very blue/purple when they first ignite and turn to a whiter output when warm.

Thanks to both of you. So nothing to worry about here bulb life wise? Still can't explain why the OEM D1S lights don't do this...
Happy Holidays!

The OE lights do it as well, you may not notice it as much on the OE bulbs but they start out purple.
