Finally got Dinan Stage 2

I have a 2007 335i and have been debating getting Dinan stage 2 for awhile and finally decided to jump in.

Wow!!!!!!! Sure, maybe other tunes are better, but I am blown away by the increase in power.

I have had 2 HPFP replacements, and the last time they "upgraded" my software I had horrible turbo-lag. I was concerned that the Dinan flash, while increasing overall power, would make the turbo-lag more exaggerated. It did the opposite, I don't notice much turbo-lag at all now.

I do have problems putting all that power to use while at low speeds. Either my traction control kicks in, or if I turn it off, my tires just spin. Now I have to save up for LSD and 19" wheels!!!

Ya I hear that

I'm starting to think my stock 18 on runflat had a lot more grip then my 19's on hancraps.

Sidewall is about an inch thick, and harder then a brick.

I was spinning 40 rolls in 60-70 ambient temps.

Now i spin 20 rolls in 30 degree ambients.

I drive in N/A mode and I can get that to spin tire. Sub 200WHP no traction, fail.

Get the new Nitto NT05R. I have a customer with a Z06, spraying 225-250 shot, dead hooks 2nd on the street. Its INSANE.

How are they in the turns and rain?

I know its a silly question for someone looking for straight line traction, but I need to be realistic heh.

buzz-kill. Got the dreaded "check engine soon" light and rough engine AGAIN. I'm already on my 3rd HPFP. This time the light didn't go out after re-start. Ugh. If the car wasn't so damn good, I would have traded it in awhile ago. The soonest I can get a loaner is on Thursday, hopefully it won't complete die.

You need to buy a BT cable. Now that you are modified you might want to start finding out what is going on without having to take it to the dealer every time.

Welcome to the club, congrats!!

Similar story here! After getting my HPFP replaced and the latest software flash from BMW, basically killing the guts out of my performance, I gave up and had a Dinan S2 installed as well. Very happy with the outcome!

Congrats on you Dinan S2. I just Dynoed mine today: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=471001

One thing I love the most on it is the Torque

After a period of time you will know how to adjust your acceleration for your wheels to catch correctly when you have DTC disabled without having to spin out in 1st and 2nd.

It not all about burying the peddle to the floor.
