If you have autodimming mirrors then those won't work anymore.

Hell, I didn't even know they still made those. I had one in my lowrider mini-truck back in 1991. It vibrated like crazy when you hit a bump.

I was in Ocean City MD Last summer second week of june, and there was a car show there (Also a air show!) we lucked out! There is nothing like fighter jets zooming by really close in front of you while you are on the beach. Only bad part was the sonic boom set car alarms off, and a bunch of cars with subs. Anyways, since there was a car show there was a bunch of modified cars everywhere, I seen one of these on every other ricer car out there. Since then, I have always wondered what they were for?

If that is the mirror you are contemplating then I would advise against it as it may interfere with the operation of your side curtain airbags.

Poor car

What I did was bought those 270mm wide convexed mirrors and it works well. Just put it over your existing rear view mirror.

THAT is a great idea. Provided you don't have an auto dimming mirror with navigation. Blind spot mirrors are a great idea too, but they're a bit unsightly. Wonder why car manufacturers don't make them mandatory, or even the DOT. So many accidents happen because of this 'blind spot' thing. Does it really happen? Or is it a theory or an excuse?

I guess not, for you and I at least. I hear lots of accidents being blamed on this infamous 'blind spot' :shrugs:

Yeah it throws codes, then the car will punch you in the face for even considering that kind of truck driver ass mod.
