Hi -- just picked up my 2006 330i M Sport the other day .. the navigation (professional) DVD is version 12 (according to the DVD) and on the drive home from Brisbane - Canberra I realized how out of date it is. Also, the graphics are really, really crummy :-( Whats the most recent version I can run in my car? AND - more importantly, where can I download it?! The dealer mentioned something about $700 for the latest disc which I thought was absolutely insane.

I believe the most recent version for Professional Nav (Purple DVD) is v16.

Hey, thanks for that. Yeah I searched through all those threads but doesn't seem to be any active downloads around **sigh**. Also scoured the internet and ebay .. no luck. Does anyone have it?? :-(

Apart from the shitty nav and slow-ish iDrive, I am in love with the car, and the engine is a huge step up from my 325i M Sport ... (which I now have for sale).

You'll find even if you upgrade to v16 the graphics wont improve that much, you need to go to your BMW dealer and tell them that your radio cuts in and out so they will upgrade the software in your car.

I might have a spare DVD of v16 (I switched to HDD based idrive)although I'm not sure if it will work for you, its professional.

That's a shame about the graphics, but I could live with that if the maps were current. I find the arrow view in the assistance window the most useful bit anyway. Will BMW not just update my software for the sake of me wanting the latest version?!

I have the professional navigation ... if you've got the v16 DVD that would be really awesome ... would you be able to image it or something? I'm still a bit shocked that the dealer wouldn't throw in the latest maps with the car .. especially as it was BMW premium selection. The nav in it is pretty much useless at present :-(
