2011.5 ipod random play

I have a September build with the combox. I use a 64G ipod classic that I keep plugged into the USB and I only take it out for updates.

For some reason, I can not get my entire track list to play randomly, it will only play in alphabetical order. All of my other play lists will do the random thing, just not "all tracks". My '07 random played anything I wanted it to. Is it just me and I need to use a different ipod or do they all act this way now?

SOLVED

It seems that my '11 will only play a list of 999 songs randomly, so what I did was split my entire music library into 9 playlists and kept them under 999 songs each. Just as a precaution, I also made those playlists in a random order.

I really don't want to listen to all of my songs A-Z, and now I don't have to
