angel eyes question

so... i installed some mtec v3 bulbs in my pre-lci e90 today but they won't turn on.. When I unlock the car, they usually turn on but sometimes they don't.. and they won't turn on at all when the car is running - i have no idea what the problem could be.. anyone have any ideas?

they should turn on when you unlock the car. You may have your light switch on automatic and if its light out then the car wont turn on the light. turn the knob two turns from the right and see if they turn on then.

the thing is, i installed them like, later in the afternoon when it got dark (around 6pm).. my light switch is always on automatic, and the lights lit up only some of the time (after install i was super excited and i stood outside, locking and unlocking the car a whole bunch of times before i noticed it).. then i turned the knob to two turns from the right and still had the same result..

then when i turned the car on to go for a drive, i got out to take a pic, then noticed that they weren't on at all! (still in auto mode). so i then turned the knob two times to the right, just to see the angel eyes lit up, to take a pic, but still nothing!

i really don't know what the issue is and i'm getting a little frustrated.

sorry about the rant, haha. thanks for your help, man! if you have any other input (regarding the mtec bulbs) i'd really appreciate it!

I wasn't aware that the angel eyes ever lit up on pre lci's with the unlock... maybe its a feature from after 06
but, they don't even light up when you put it on the parking lamps?
Are they on when the projector is on?

Does the car display an error light?
If the bulb is out, then an error will definitely appear
If not, I think you must have messed up the install somewhere along the line... although It was pretty straight forward,
I say go back into the headlight and try it again...

Damn.. no error lights, so I guess I'm diving back in there tomorrow

Did you mix up the positive and negative? If i recall correctly you have to put the wires in the right spot otherwise they will not light up.

I tried them both ways .. same result. Is there any time I can swing by just to get it checked out?
