No CEL w/AR Catted DPs so far, but...
I had my AR catted DPs for 2 weeks now and probably 300 or 400 miles and so far I haven't seen a CEL. Does anyone know if that means I'm in the clear or could the CEL pop up quite a ways down the road still?

I was fine on stock tune with AR catted DP, if you up the boost with a piggyback or flash there is a chance you will get an SES light - nothing that an o2 sim can't fix

Mine lasted 1 year before the CEL came on. I assume they are right near the line to throw the light (the magnaflow, high flow cat version) and when they age for several months, they cross the line and throw the CEL. I have the procede o2 modifier at 80% and it takes car of the light. I bet next summer the light may come on again and I will have to go from 80% to 70% on the o2 modifier setting.

You are not clear at all, haha. Mine didnt come on until about 250 miles and I am catless. But there is always a chance that you will be fine.

The Procede still shows and SES light if something goes wrong. You can enable can clear that deletes it right away, its not as if you cant see it and its suppressing it from ever appearing.

For the sake of the "sniffer" emission test, is it possible to cut those downpipes and weld new set of cats?
Thank You |

Rephrase your question. I dont know what youre asking me. Cut my AR catless dp's? No, I would never or recommend you do that. Just get high flow catted from them.

Currently I am running into the same problem (defected cats on high flow catted downpipes).
I am just wondering if I can cut the defected high flow cats and replace them with new high flow cats then weld them back to the downpipes. |

I'm sure any good exhaust shop can do the work fairly inexpensively but a good set of HFCs are fairly expensive themselves. Which DPs do you have where the cats are failing and how many miles on them?

if ur gonna do all that, why not just swap in the stockers for the day of inspection and them swap the modified ones back in after. Seems like a lot less headache to me.

Anyone have experience with the CP-E pipes? I'm curious how the spun-metal cats compare to the magnaflows on the AR pipes...

Only heard good things with CP-E, they are fairly local to me. Lots of guys around me use their products. We are speaking quality here, I cannot speak on behalf of their performance.
