Bluetooth Music in 2010 335i ?

Hi all,

I noticed during a bluetooth phone call that all sound from my iPhone 4 was playing through the stereo system. Basically, as long as a call was active, I could play music through the car via bluetooth. Is there a way to do this without calling someone?

You could call someone and ask them to play music for you through the phone. It is somewhat of a solution.

You can get a BlackBerry Stereo Gateway and plug that into your AUX port.

It streams music over AD2P bluetooth, wirelessly. Calls will automatically transfer between the BMW bluetooth for handsfree calling and the BB gatewy for music.

Will this also work when the phone is in the cradle in the console?

I'm gonna say yes but I'm not sure. It's the phone's function to switch between bluetooth profiles or from the actual handset back to the bluetooth.
