I have replaced an ECU cover and an air conditioning cowling until now, both damaged when trying to get the ECU out of the car...anyone else ?

I've lost two bolts for the air conditioning cover and I've snapped one of my connector pins for the ecu I had to sauder it back together, then file it down enough so it could fit back in the original pin hole, it barely fits

I broke a tiny plastic tab that was helping the open/close mechanism. I had to replace the cover, couldn't stand the thought...

I broke one of the tabs that you push with a small screwdriver to slip out one of the ECU connectors. It didn't seem to effect anything but as I was having other problems with my tune, etc at the time I thought I had really messed things up. I also messed up at least one, maybe two of the tabs for the wire harness holder. I guess it's good that I finally gave up on piggyback installing..lol.

Couple screws, tabs on the intake plastic piping, all the stuff you need to take off to get to the ecu...its all worn. I have literally been in my ecu 20-30 times and i have owned the car under a year(from switching tunes, to troubleshooting with shiv, learning to datalog...)

BTW, gbree I made a couple videos of my engine bay and exhaust today. Shoot me your email address again and I will send um to you

Broke a tab on that power wire holder that fits up underneath the cowl. Doesn't really fit anyway with my DCI's. Just hanging now

A nipple on the intake manifold broke when lightly pulling off the vacuum hose for the bov. That was very disappointing.

last weekend while running my JB3 USB cable to the glove box I bump the little threaded tab for the ecu side bolt on the cowl.....it went under the ecu box....and I don't have a magnet tool.....pissed me off. Gotta borrow a magnet tool or pay .27 for a new part.

Oh, I forgot...don't know if this counts, but I also bent the handle and sheared off the tab on a 3/8" ratchet when tightening lug nuts on one of my wheels (didn't have the right sized lug wrench)...I guess that was enough torque
