PROcede V5 update from Shiv (6AT misfire, ignition advance preview)

Shiv asked me to post some of the results from our 6AT cold weather testing.

1. - 6AT misfire issue fixed. Was an issue with CPS voltage, SHOULD be resolved globally for all 6ATs now. Tested on two cars up to a 4-5 shift at redline without issue. FWIW, my car misfired the 2-3 and 3-4 shift all the time before the fix.

2. - the 6AT ran virtually no boost taper on meth without misfire or issue. Tested up to 18psi.

3. - A video, which doesn't really show much except some amusing color commentary from Iwantm3, which will preview ignition advance. Ran about 14-15 psi with 3 degrees of ignition advance on methanol, no misfire at redline on a 3-4 pull.

4. - The SnowPerformance SafeInjection unit works flawlessly with the PROcede

Expect an update from Shiv himself, along with public 6AT maps within a week or so.

Was this mis fire issue isolated to just the AT guys in cold weather?

I wish I could have came out tonight to meet the legend himself! I live only a few blocks away.

That seems to be the case. The 6AT "fix" will be sent out to others who are misfiring for testing. My car and Iwantm3's car were highly misfire prone, and both of our cars no longer exhibit a misfire. I'm pretty confident in the fix personally.

Good news! Do the new maps also solve the misfires when traction control (DTC) kicks in?

I wonder if this effects the n55 guys too. I've had my share of limp modes with 14psi max settings...

Was dealing with the same over here, changed my plug and ignition coil, did not solve it.

But now, some weeks later, it seems to be gone... don't know what happend...and I do not have the time to dig in further..

On my car it just appeared after changing plugs and coils. Strange...

Lately I avoided pushing the car to the point where it misfires, as I don't want to deliberately damage the engine

I'll give the new maps a try.

We tested up to 3 degrees of ignition advance on my car (with methanol) no misfire or issue. I'll let Shiv chime in when ready on what the public maps will have.

Timing curves must look really nice especially with the 3 degrees of advance...Is this only with the Methanol activated?

Yeah meth/race, the stock timing set point is far too aggressive for pump gas as it is; I would imagine timing advance is only good for running less boost on methanol and achieving similar results

I love your sig, since afterall if it wasn't for Sticky bringing this to light, it would have sat in the background for much longer. Isn't this an issue that has been ongoing for sometime now?
