Here are the first official pictures of the C-Class Coupe, courtesy of Autobild.

Autobild mentions the similarity to BMW's Hofmeister kink. And there's said to be an V8 AMG version with up to 500 hp.

Public debut will be at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Hopefully more pics will be available soon for a picture comparison with the E92.

I also like it.

However, there are alot of things about it that remind me of an e92. The main side profile line, the kink, the interior dash even seems reminiscent.

The dash looks nothing like the C class sedan dash either.

So, I think part of the reason I like it is because it so closely resembles the e92 in many areas.

Looks ok. Front is still all wrong but the rear looks good. Unfortunately benz engines are outdated, as are the transmissions.

Rumor has it from the AMG product managers at MBUSA that the coupe may also become a new AMG Black Series version.

When did they update it?

Regardless, it now looks a lot like a 3 series interior.

fwiw, the 7 speed G Tronic isn't old. The MCT isn't either. There's also the new DCT (on the SLS.) Plus you can now get a 6 speed short throw manual tranny in the C Class.

And new motors have just been introduced. Nonetheless, the 6.2 liter isn't that old either and has won performance engine of the year twice, including last year.

Anyway, the new twin turbos are now here.

No manual no sale....I dont care for the MCT. It looks good aside from the Konig tantrum lookalike wheels

The 7 speed has been around for at least 5 years now and it's not a good automatic. I had it in my '07 SLK and the lag was so bad in "manual" mode that you were better off leaving it in auto.

Also like the SLK, you can only get a 6 Speed with the C300 model. The C350 can only get the 7 speed auto. (Only in USA, other countries can get manuals in both)

As for engines, the C300 still uses the old 3 liter v6 with ~228hp that used to be in the C280 and SLK280. The C350's motor has been around for many years also and only puts out 268hp. That's similar to the now obsolete 330i models.

The MCT/DCT thing is new, but I don't see them putting it into the C300/350 models. AMG maybe... The 335i doesn't get a DCT either (except the iS) but the 6 speed step is a much better transmission than the Benz 7G already.

The AMG 6.2 is a wonderful motor though.

The C350 engine is being upgraded with direct injection with the facelift, so it now puts out 302hp & 273lb-ft. Still not equal in torque to the N55, but should be plenty fast.

That's amazingly good looking compared to the sedan. I LOVE the new interior with the red/black/aluminum scheme.

In that case, it should be interesting if they keep the weight down. No turbos so it won't be easily tunable, but no one buys a Mercedes for performance unless its an AMG.
