Vishnu PROcede vs. Stock Dyno Result Extravaganza

Courtesy of everyone from the LA Dyno Tuning Event this past weekend.

Nearly all the results show the results of consecutive runs with just 1-2 minute cooldowns between runs. Some of the 335is were 6MTs and some were Steptronics. I'm not sure which were which but usually the 6MTs make a few more horsepower and a bit more low end torque.

The dyno results have not been selectively "hand picked" to give the illusion of consistent power gains. The dyno results were also in front of a live audience on an independant dyno (the Dyno at Harmon Motive) and at no times were the intercoolers chilled, boost bumped up for glory run, chilled water sprayed on the intercooler pipes, etc,.)

Typically, the first 1 or 2 runs we with the PROcede bypassed (stock power). The runs after that were with the baseline map uploaded. Any missing runs are missing due to either loss of tach signal or dyno error. All results are on 91oct pump gas. The point I'm trying to get across (bear with me ) is that these gains are as real as they get. And they will be similar to anyone who installs the PROced themselves at home without the use of a dyno. In fact, in the case of 93oct applications, the tuned results will be higher by 10-15whp and 10-20lbft of torque.

Here goes...

PART 1

The tach pick-up on this car was picking up some nose. Hence all the strange break-ups and noisey lines.

Shiv,

What do you feel the timeline is for giving 100 octane a try on the procede?

Great results, can't wait to get mine.

OMFG! Gee, I'm sorry...didn't mean to offend anyone or piss anyone off. Relax folks; I know everyone has been patiently waiting, and yes, I have the XEDE, but I keep hearing that the beta testers are supposed to get the first batch shipped out, so I'm trying to get an ET...that's all. Geesh.

I think I've made my share of positive contributions to this forum and discussions about the XEDE/PROcede for more than 5 months now. It's only b/c I have been "testing" the XEDE in my 335i since the day it was installed (12/18/06) and singing it's praises from that date that allows me to ask this simple question. Shiv said that the beta testers would get the first shipped PROcede units...just wondering if he has an ETA.

i'm suprised there's such a huge variation in terms of base line hp with some of the cars... from 259hp to 277hp. granted one is probably auto and the other manual... but still, that's a 18hp difference!

Ya its auto and manual. You see the differances in torque.

The second graph (with the top end roll off) is from a Steptronic car. In a Step car, the throttle closes abuptly in the last 300rpm before fuel cut to prepare for the next upshift which it will do regardless of whether you are in Sport mode using the paddle shifters or not.

I'm licking my lips everytime I see these graphs... Shiv, my neck muscles are already used to the Xede, I need that extra 20-30lb-ft to give me a new workout lol

Shiv, I read in a someone's thread stating that the PROcede unit will have a map that'll recognize and adjust power accordingly between 91 and 93 octane gas, is this true?

Thumbs up Procede Mirroring Stock only with more juice?

Looks from the graphs like the curves are approximating the curves of the stock vehicle only with tons more juice. So does that mean it feels just as NA as the stock car? Or is it that the power now rushes on early, spikes then kind of starts to mirror stock? Whats your seat of the pants feel for this?

+1.
Then a remote switch for between stock and tuned maps and it'll be bliss.
