BMW Inspections before Warranty Ends

My service advisor suggested that i have an Inspection done on my 2007 335 coupe, before my warranty runs out...that way they can take care of any issues that arise under warranty.

This seems like a really good idea to me...has anyone done this in the past? i think the cost is around 300-350 bucks...not sure....any advice? questions? comments?

I got this same call from Autowest. My warranty runs out at the beginning of April.

They are offering a $85+tax inspection to check everything out.

Yes maybe they are...but its a mutual benefit. they will end up getting money from bmw for whatever warranty work they can find...and its in my best interest to get as much work done under warranty as possible.

I am just wondering if anyone else has done or is thinking of doing something similar...and how much/what kind of inspections were done.

Wink

Do it at "an independent knowledgeable BMW shop" instead of BMW dealers (cheaper and impartial).
Then if there is anything wrong, get the dealer to fix it.

Seriously, they want you to pay for the inpection? $85 sound like about 1/2 hour of time. Not much money in the grand scheme of things.

End of warranty.

So, did you guys end up doing the check? Just curious as to what they may have found. My warranty expires next month...

first post!

i just had my car at Maranello for the first time since I bought it (3 weeks ago) because one of my angel eyes went out.

My service advisor Tibor (awesome guy) did a whole bunch of stuff for me because he saw that my car is at 77k, so they did a full long-life oil change, cabin air-filter, brake fluid flush, high pressure fuel pump recall, and one of my wastegate actuators, as well as replacing the faulty angel eye bulb, PLUS 2 days of a rental car, all for no charge! and I didn't even have to ask for an inspection, he just did it.

props to Tibor!

Did my inspection at Parkview about a month ago. Costed me $49.99 plus tax.
