Garage List
It looks like it's melting right now though.. mixed in with some rain, as long as it doesn't freeze over it should be ok.

had to ditch mine last night. With traction control turned all the way off, I was able to make it halfway up the hill to my place. However, dumbasses who freaked out and stopped in the middle of the road at the first sign of slippage broke my momentum. I had to ditch and do the walk of shame. I just got my car back home.

Yeah its the drivers that make snow driving worst! These idiots dont understand, you need momentum!! Yes its a little scary to go fast up a hill in snow, yet if you dont go fast enough you will not make it

Anyways that snow didnt even last overnight

I think a lot of times they forget to turn off the traction control, so when their front wheels start to slip, traction control kicks in and they have he throttle floored but no action. A lot of times, all you have to do is turn off traction, point your wheels in the correct direction, throttle it, and watch that puppy go

Well then, I guess I feel stupid for doing quite the opposite. Although when I did get stuck, I wondered if turning it off would be a better option. Silly me. Hey, least I got off the road right? haha

Try it next time. You'll see (but do it in a safe environment like an empty, snow covered parking lot or an empty street). Traction control cuts throttle and applies brakes when you get wheel spin. My humble opinion is that DTC can help you steady your car in slick conditions, but it doesn't help you power up a hill when there is snow or when it is icy. By turning off DTC, you allow your wheels to slip and spin without throttle cut, thus allowing you to power up a hill. I used to do it with my S2000 (with winter tires) all the time.
