Picture Comparison: WeissLicht | Xenesis vs. OEM
Just thought I'd take a quick shot half way through the installation to show the difference. Angel eyes are pretty difficult to accurately capture in a photo; this is my attempt. I'd say they're slightly less blue in real life.
Weisslicht AE on the left, OEM on the right. Xenesis Tru-Match fog light on the left compared to OEM on the right. Thanks to Nick@JLeviSW.com for hooking me up with these. The customer service was top-notch. Conditions did not simulate direct sunlight, but these photos were taken in a very brightly lit, white room: Here's a couple with both installed and the hood closed: Last edited by DV; 01-13-2011 at 11:37 PM.. |

The AEs and fogs look great! good color match as well. Definitely an improvement over the stockers. while these were definitely a close second, I ended up installing the MTEC V3 angel eyes on my car.
I'm also interested in your LCI front, got any pics with the hood down? What all did you need to do the conversion? (btw feel free to answer through PM if you want so we don't make this another LCI conversion thread)

We can talk LCI front. It is an LCI M-Sport front bumper. Grilles, fogs & wiring, airducts, deflectors, wheel housing liners, etc. were all updated. LCI hood as well. Grilles are BMW Performance. My dealer did the paint and install. I'll take some more with the hood closed when the relentless snow stops and I wash it again. Last edited by DV; 01-12-2011 at 10:33 PM.. |

I love it David! You have great taste man. Looks like the dealer did a great job with paint and install. I'll have to check it out in person when I come back home this spring or summer.
Can't wait to see more pics with your summer wheels and shadowline window trim.

Nice pics. It is so bloody hard to pick angel eye upgrades
I have spent the last two hours reading over dozens of threads and it has confused me even more. |

If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the exact same setup. It has an updated OEM look, which is exactly what I was going for.

Looks much better with LCI... nice job
How was the install of the AEs? Anything I should be careful with/look out for? Will be installing mine soon!

The fogs are 4000k (xenon match). The AE's didn't have a color temperature listed, but 6000k sounds about right. Last edited by DV; 01-17-2011 at 06:55 PM.. |

There are 2 pieces other than the light itself that make up the OE unit. The metal clip with a glass lens does not transfer over, but the black plastic spacer does. That information would have saved me a couple minutes. Took about an hour to do both sides. I don't think you'll have any problems, but feel free to PM me if you get stuck. Looks great. Did you get any codes? I've been reading so many negative things about LED AE's it'd be nice to hear your experience. Thx.
