Stolen Front Bumper Piece

Ok so I had my car parked outside the gym today and I came out to having a piece taken from car. I'm not exactly what the piece is called or what is does but its the square/rhombus piece on the front bumper. Its got some kind of spring involved with it. Needless to say its pretty fu^^ed up that somone would take the time to remove the piece of my car.

Anyway I'd like to know

what the piece is called

what's it for

and where can i get a knew

btw if the person who took my piece is missing....not cool, not cool

Tow hook cover.

It has been known to fall off on its own.

I feel like you're saying this sarcastically.

I realize it's a trivial piece but it was there when I got out of my car because I got out the car to check my fog lights before i turned the car off. I feel like had the piece been missing at the point i would have noticed.

Are you absolutely sure? I don't know how many times someone around me has misplaced something all on their own and was 100% positive they knew exactly where they put it, so someone must have stolen it!! And then they remember later where they actually put it.

I looked at my car 2 months after owning it and saw a smile face scratch on the lower portion of the front bumper. I went ape shit over it. I was like....WTF asshole did that shit!!! For two days I was raging. Then I was looking at some pics I took the day I bought my car and saw that smile face scratch. It was there from day 1 lol

lol well first off with your story i'm sorry you have a smiley face scratch on your car but at least it isn't a worse picture you know. I have a similar story witha scratch on my front bumper. I thought i did it but turns out it was on the car when i bought it.

As for my situation now, I don't think anyway can be "absolutely sure" but i'm fairly confident. Is it possible it was there before hand i didn't notice, for sure.
