Are base 325i e90 owners satified with their wheels?
For those who have the 325i e90 base model, with 16" wheels/tires: are you happy with your wheels? Do you intend on changing your wheels anytime soon? If so what are your reasons for making the change.
Cheers. |

I didn't like the 325 sport package rims, so I didn't waste the money on the option. I would rather put some 18' 162's on. I am planning on waiting a few more months for the replica's to start showing up.

It seems BMW drivers are in a perpetual pursuit of design and quality, hence the constant need to 'upgrade'.
It looks like I'll be trading in my 156s as soon as I take delivery :-). Hopefully, I can find a good deal on 162s or 195s. |

For the BMW brand/image being so focused on performance and design, I am rather disappointed with 16" rims. The 16's look too small for the car. The design is OK, but just not enough rim and too much rubber. I think 17's would be the minimum for a standard rim with 18 & 19 options.
I'm not sure I'm changing though... If I could find 162's for around $1500-1800 I would consider the change, but otherwise, just wait for the 335. Hopefully the 335 will have 18 standard.

I think I may go the same route as you are, do you plan on getting new springs? I've seen some 162s mounted on the bas 325i no-ZSP option and they look a bit high. |

I've seen a few guys sell them for around that before. Hopefully someone will go aftermarket and I can buy the package for that price... If bmwwheels.com sells the package for that price, I'll order today. I do agree that you've gotta drop the car at least an inch. Funny how the sport package gives that "true" BMW look.
