E91 with lemon and a kid?
What do you guys think of that combo?
I've thinking of buying a E91, because my gf is pregnant. ![]() And love the Lemon interior, but what do you guys think about it, does Lemon get dirty quickly? Should i go for black leather instead, it's so boring, Lemon does make the E90 look way more nice. ![]() What should i do? I drove the E61 the other day, and it drives so bad compared to E90, it feels just old and bulky. there's no Lemon interior in E61 either. ![]() |

I would think it would get dirty easily. You might want to go with black, or at least beige.

Cars with light interiors and kids do NOT mix
![]() I have a 2 year old and we didn't want to go for black and light colors were ruled out so we went with tera. And I have to say we couldn't be happier with our choice. A year later the leather is still perfect and it does take some beating from the little one. Recently I had my car in for some warranty work and I had a 335 with beige interior - the horror of horrors with all the scuff marks, black marks, shoe marks etc. Go with tera. It's a nice modern color. |

Besides, if you really are Ron Jeremy, I don't think it's the kids that are going to be messing up the uphostery... can I get a group "yuk"?

I have Lemon and a 10yr old girl and after 2 months things are good. I doubt I would have taken the chance with a newborn coming though. For two years I had an E36 M3 sedan with a Dove grey(much lighter than E90 grey) interior and the area where her booster seat was did show more wear than I would expect. I think it must have been rubbing in any dirt/dust that got under it. She doesn't use a booster anymore, so that is not a problem in the new car.

i would not get the lemon with a baby. i remember reading about the lemon and how it can stain from just getting in the car with jeans that have gotten a little wet from the rain.

I have an E91 and a kid and went with terra--dark enough to protect you from stains (black carpets are a plus too ) yet you avoid the all black Darth Vader interior.

Since it's a newborn, you might get a break t'il about 2 years old, from some stuff like feet. Black or Terra are better in the long run. |

I have an E-90 with black leatherette interior and a 4 year old. With the snow and slush she tracks into the car the interior i have is the best as it wipes clean. I am a clean fanatic and the 'ette cleans up so well. I find she kicks the backs of the seats a lot (her booster is in the middle) and the centre console and it can look really messy but a quick clean up and its like new.

![]() Yep, full back interior can be a little boring, depending on the exterior color (If also dark color). An other alternative to Terra is Coral Red. Lemon is a little bit more sensitive to showing dirt or stain vs beige; but it's benefits are that plastic plannels and carpeting are black. If you really want it, you may find a way to put a good sealant or leather protector on it. I have to admit, I'm disciplined about keeping my interior clean ... but it takes that discipline. The thing to be careful with; beige or lemon with reveal very quickly anything with strong or dark colored dye (New unwashed Jeans or wet jeans from rain, clothing fabric, etc.). Here are a few shot of options : Creme Beige: Coral Red: Terra: Lemon: Skål! ![]() |

First of all, isnt Coral red only for the e92?
I would go with lemon before beige since lemon has black floor and panels, and it sounds like you really dont want black again, so maybe you should just go with lemon and buy alot of wipes

I agree that lemon is not the best colour when you have a baby coming, but do not be fooled into thinking that beige offers some kind of compromise. IT DOESN'T! I have owned both and I can tell you beige is a killer. As Norsk said above, only the seats are lemon and the rest is easy black.

True, I have had to clean my beige seats a few times, and both my wife and I are very neat. I'm sure Lemon will require a little more maintenance, but I don't mind. Cleaning and detailing my car is a joy to me, not a chore. I would think that pre-treating the leather with a good treatment product might make it much easier in the long run.
