Mod Question

I have $130 budgeted to mod my E92 335i for the rest of the month. Any ideas what to do? Open to anything from cosmetic to power boosting. I like the angel eyes upgrade, not sure what is the best route to go though.

look wise u could always do black kidney grills, side reflectors that come orange on fenders can color match those for your car. those two will be around your budget. you may have that done already thou. angel eyes always good upgrade to.

Used JB+ should be 160-175. Turns the 335 into quite a beast for that price.

I was thinking about getting a tune but decided against it until after I took a few HPDE courses. So far, I've added an M3 style rear spoiler lip, added matte black kidney grilles, blacked the lower mesh grilles, and added an illuminated sport shifter. Aside from the rear spoiler lip, the grilles cost me less than $60 as I painted the lower ones. You can remove the lower center grille to paint it, I taped off everything else when I painted the left and right lower mesh. Use Krylon or Rustoleum plastic paint so you don't have to prime.

$130 is not much for BMW mods... I recommend front black grills and diy vinyl on the chrome window trim...

I've heard the lower mesh is difficult to remove, so I was planning on masking all three of them -- how did you get the center grille out?

Thanks!

Thanks!

If you carefully push down on the bumper and push back on the grille, you'll see where the clips are; they pop out pretty easily. You'll have to wiggle it around a bit when they're all undone to get it out, but it will come right out. The left and right ones don't, so I left them in and taped/papered the entire front end of the car (you can't be too careful when it comes to overspray) and sprayed them.

Getting the lower center one back in can be a little tricky as you have to line everything up PERFECTLY and then try to attach 2 clips at a time. That worked best for me. I've taken it out a few times, the first time was a pain!! Once you've done it, you could take it out and put it back in about 2 minutes.
